MATT Everard said while Worcester Warriors were not good enough against Hartpury, they resolved their issues at half time.
He added that his side will “double down” on the solution they found and take it into their next match with Ampthill.
Worcester Warriors conceded four first-half tries in a match that ultimately ended 28-34 in Hartpury’s favour, at Sixways Stadium.

“We reflect on performances rather than with results with where we are at as a group, and that was one of our most disappointing performances I think, on reflection,” Everard told Worcester News.
“We weren’t hard to beat. We caused a lot of damage to ourselves in the way we played – more tactically than anything effort-based or technical.
“We’ve worked on that really, really hard across the last couple of days. We trained, reflected on it on Monday and the group have been really consistent on it emotionally – never too high, never too low.
“There is definitely frustration in the group around performance on the weekend, definitely. We’ve not spoken about the last four games, last five games, last block, last half of the season.
“We’ve spoke about how you’re only as good as your last performance – which wasn’t good enough – and that’s what we’ve reflected on.”
Everard feels his side found the solution in the second half against Hartpury but left it too late.
“It was a story of two halves,” he explained. “We addressed it at half time as a group and we were much better second half.
“If you look at the first half, they got over our try-line four times, we got over their try-line twice.
“If you look at the second half, we got over their try-line four times and they got over our try-line zero – we got held up twice.
“If you look at the performance, the data behind it, we weren’t good enough in the first half without a shadow of a doubt – we played too much rugby in our own half and we let them score too quickly.
“But we did resolve it at half time.
“We left it too late and two out of the four times we got over their line in the second half, we were held up.
“Disappointing? Yes. Did we find a solution in the game? Yes. Did we double down on that solution Monday, Tuesday? Yes, and take it into Saturday (against Ampthill).”
The coach added that the team have spoke about their upcoming opponent Ampthill, but have put more focus on correcting the Hartpury defeat.
“We have spoke about Ampthill, we have,” he said. “You have to with the team they are, but we’ve probably stepped back a little bit and been more reflective on how we want to play, what we want our performances to look like, what we want our foundations to be built on because we did drift away from that on Saturday.”
