The steam and diesel train ride provided a unique experience for the puppies, helping them get used to different environments.
The journey was led by four volunteer puppy raisers.
Elli Cavazza, a puppy development advisor at Guide Dogs, explained the importance of such trips.
She said: “Socialisation visits like this are a vital part of a puppy’s early training.

“Early exposure to different sights, sounds and smells ensures that puppies gain the confidence they need to approach new experiences throughout their lives.”
The puppies were a hit with both staff and passengers, who were keen to learn about their training.
Celia Harding, lead volunteer at Swanage Railway Museum, said: “It was lovely to see the puppies and their handlers, and we were so glad to be able to facilitate this visit.
“The puppies were certainly a talking point among the visitors.”
The Guide Dogs charity is in need of more volunteers to raise puppies in the Dorset area.
