SYLVANIA, Ohio — Inclement weather continues to impact the Greater Toledo Classic at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania as round two was officially postponed to Sunday.
The announcement came just after 4 p.m. and will force some golfers to finish their second round on Sunday.
In addition, the Legends of the LPGA Tournament has been reduced to 36 holes and a winner will now be crowned after two rounds as opposed to the original plan of three.
The Epson Tour Tournament remains at 54 holes. However, the 36-hole cut will only include the top-45 golfers and ties as opposed to the originally planned top-65. Money will also be awarded to members within the top-60 and ties who miss the 36-hole cut.
New Albany native Mia Hammond was able to finish round two on Saturday and currently sits at the top of the leaderboard at 10 under.
“I realize on 16 that I’ve been playing really consistent. It’s a good feeling,” said the 17-year-old. “It’s been a long time since I’ve done that so just knowing that my game is in the right spot and to have that opportunity is really cool.”
Round three of the Epson Tour Tournament will be a split tee start off of holes # 1 and #10 with a starting time no earlier than 2 p.m.
