Grayscale, one of the largest asset management companies, has announced its expectations for the new year, with only a short time remaining until the end of 2025.
Grayscale, in its “2026 Digital Asset Outlook” report, paints an optimistic picture for 2026, expecting a revival in Bitcoin (BTC) and the cryptocurrency market.
According to the report, Grayscale analysts argue that Bitcoin has not completed its current cycle and will experience an uptrend in 2026.
At this point, analysts said that with increasing macro demand for alternative store of value and improved regulatory clarity in the US, the Bitcoin price would rise rapidly in the first half of 2026 and reach a new all-time high.
Graysacle cites increasing institutional demand and clearer regulations in the US as key catalysts for Bitcoin’s rise in the first half of 2026.
Analysts arguing that the classic four-year cycle in Bitcoin has now ended wrote the following:
“We expect valuations to rise in 2026 and the end of what is called the four-year cycle, a pattern where the cryptocurrency market repeats itself every four years.”
In our view, the Bitcoin price will likely reach an all-time high in the first half of the year.
Again, in our view, as long as the risk of fiat currency depreciation continues to increase, portfolio demand for Bitcoin and Ethereum will also continue to rise.”
Grayscale recently stated that the number of ETFs will increase even further in 2026, indicating that more altcoins will have ETFs.
“We expect more crypto assets to become accessible through ETFs in 2026. These products have had a successful start, but many platforms are still conducting the necessary due diligence and working to integrate crypto into their asset allocation processes. As this process matures, we expect more institutional capital to arrive throughout 2026.”
