Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s tumultuous marriage is making headlines again!
Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are yet again making the headlines for their tumultuous marriage. Over the last year, the latter has been quite vocal about her superstar husband living away from their family, cheating on her with different actresses and not helping their kids’ careers. Having been happily married for the last 38 years, the internet kept buzzing in 2025 with rumours and speculation surrounding their divorce. While they dismissed it time and again, Sunita’s interviews proved otherwise. Now in a new interview, she has yet again alleged that her husband has been cheating on her.

Speaking to ETimes about the same, she called 2025 a bad year for her. Quoted by India Today, she went on to add, “I’ve been hearing about Govinda’s controversy that he is having an affair with a girl. But I know that she’s not an actress because actresses don’t do such bad things. She doesn’t love him; she only wants his money.”
She had strongly reacted to the online speculation of his alleged affair with a younger actress. She went on to mention that if she gets the confirmation about her husband cheating on her, she would “will never forgive Govinda.” In the same interview, she had stated that she wants the current year to be different. Wishing for a happy family, she said, “I wish to change my life in 2026. I want Govinda to put an end to all these controversies, and I want a happy family in 2026. I hope it happens very soon.”

The 62-year-old actor reacted to his wife’s explosive interview and cheating allegation in a different interview. Speaking to the news agency ANI, he claimed that his wife is being “used in the initial stages of a big conspiracy.” He went on to suggest that his family is being used as an “opening batsmen” against him.
Quoted by Hindustan Times, Govinda added, “To ruin someone’s reputation in society and impose something on them, like how, in the beginning, a very dangerous man had accused me, and that man got exposed too later. When your popularity in the film industry goes beyond a certain point, many people come forward to destroy you. I pray to God that He removes me from this problem, and I also pray for the welfare of my children… I pray that there is no misunderstanding and that I don’t get suffocated… I make a humble request, especially to my own family.”
