
JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating a fatal hunting incident in Jackson County.
According to FWC, officers were notified of the incident on Tuesday.
FWC says that preliminary information indicates a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were hunting behind a home on CR 73. The 17-year-old was reportedly fatally struck when the hunting rifle discharged.
We are told that this is an active investigation, and additional information will be provided at a later time.
