The company’s founder and CEO Tinashe Changweya, who was recently named the Outstanding Businessman of the Year Engineering Services at the Northern Region Megafest Business Awards in Harare, said their services were diverse so that they align with the needs of many in line with government policies and programmes.

Fumati Engineers, a multi-award-winning engineering which specialises in mechanical engineering, structural engineering, steel fabrication, general engineering, and construction has won the hearts of many thanks to its tailored services which dovetail with the government’s national development agenda.

The company’s founder and CEO Tinashe Changweya, who was recently named the Outstanding Businessman of the Year Engineering Services at the Northern Region Megafest Business Awards in Harare, said their services were diverse so that they align with the needs of many in line with government policies and programmes.

“Fumati Engineers offers a diverse range of services to both blue-chip companies and startups,” Changweya said.

“Our comprehensive portfolio includes the production of quality and affordable mining equipment, tailored agricultural tools, business equipment, and innovative steel-based furniture.

“Thanks to our commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, we have garnered recognition as engineering company of the year from various prestigious awards, including the Zimbabwe CEO’s Network and Megafest Business Awards.

“We are happy to be a reliable and trusted brand that has turned the corner in the face of teething problems that many brands face.”

In line with Zimbabwe’s economic landscape, Fumati Engineers stands as a beacon of innovation, dovetailing seamlessly with the government’s National Development Strategy 1.

“As the nation pushes for a multi-billion dollar mining industry that contributes to economic development, Fumati Engineers is playing a pivotal role by producing quality yet affordable mining equipment for small- to medium-scale miners, helping them to enhance productivity,” Changweya said.

“We believe every miner deserves access to reliable equipment that can boost their output.

“Our mission is to empower these miners to thrive and we are happy that a number of them are lining up for Fumati Engineers produced mining equipment because it’s tailored to their needs and we also provide after sales support including servicing and repairs.”

In the agricultural sector, Fumati Engineers is similarly focused on productivity, crafting tailored agricultural equipment that enables farmers to maximize their harvests.

“The Zimbabwean economy is largely agro-based and as government pushes for enhanced agricultural productivity, we are proudly producing quality, affordable and tailored agricultural equipment for farmers,” Changweya said.

“Our equipment is designed with the farmer in mind. We want to ensure that they can produce better yields and contribute to food security in Zimbabwe.”

Operating in a largely informal economy where many citizens run their own businesses, Fumati Engineers also produces essential equipment for various enterprises.

“From startups to established businesses, we provide the tools necessary for success,” Changweya said.

“We know that the majority of Zimbabweans are running up their own enterprises and accessing affordable equipment in the face of limited capitalisation is a challenge hence our engineering innovation to produce tailored business equipment for them.

“Whether you want start a restaurant, catering services or a milling company we have everything for you.

“Each piece of equipment is meticulously produced and assembled at our workshop, complete with after-sales support and guarantees, ensuring that customers receive a reliable product backed by exceptional service.”

Fumati Engineers has also significantly contributed to the government’s infrastructure development drive.

The company’s construction and structural engineering division has been instrumental in building stadiums like The Heart Stadium and the MWOs Ngoni Stadium in Norton, malls, high-rise flats, schools, churches, and individual homes.

“We have a commitment to quality and safety in every project and our work is playing an important part in the Zimbabwe’s infrastructure development drive,” Changweya said.

“Beyond constructing stadiums, malls, high-rise flats, warehouses and so forth, we also manufacture related hardware such as door frames, window frames, sliding gates, and tank stands, further supporting national infrastructure initiatives.

“This has seen us provide a holistic approach to the development needs of our clients and we are setting our minds on growing this business into a multi-billion industry that supports national development and answers to the growth aspirations of our clients.”

In a move that showcases their innovative spirit, Fumati Engineers has begun producing unique steel-based furniture, expanding their product line to meet diverse market needs.

“Innovation is at the core of what we do, we are constantly exploring new ideas to better serve our client and we are happy to have a unit that ably produces tailored steel based furniture for our clients,” Changweya said.

“This is a new high which we hope will take the nation by storm as we continue raising the bar in our quest for excellence and customer satisfaction. All our products are tailored to the customer’s needs and specifications.”

Changweya is not just a businessman; he is a visionary.

Recognised as Businessman of the Year in Engineering Services, his leadership has guided Fumati Engineers to numerous accolades, including being named Engineering Company of the Year by various prestigious awards, such as the Zimbabwe CEO’s Network and the Megafest Business Awards.

“Hard work, quality workmanship, and a high regard for our clients are the foundations of our success,” Changweya said.

“I believe in dreaming big and working tirelessly to turn those dreams into reality.

“At a time when Zimbabwe is focused on infrastructure development, a thriving mining industry, and sustainable agriculture, Fumati Engineers is proud to be a strategic partner in this national agenda.

“We are not just contributing to Zimbabwe’s economic growth, we are shaping the future and everything looks blindingly bright.

“We are geared for all setbacks and we will continue playing our part as self-respecting and proud Zimbabweans.”
