Global index provider FTSE Russell has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Chainlink to bring its flagship indices, including the Russell 1000, Russell 2000, Russell 3000, and FTSE 100, on-chain for the first time. The collaboration, revealed on November 3, 2025, leverages Chainlink’s DataLink service to make verified financial data available 24/7 across multiple blockchains.
This integration enables real-time, tamper-proof delivery of FTSE Russell’s market data directly to decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. By doing so, it lays the foundation for a new generation of tokenized assets, decentralized ETFs, and other blockchain-native financial products that rely on accurate, real-world data.
FTSE Russell CEO Fiona Bassett described the move as “a major step toward enabling innovation around tokenized assets and next-generation financial products,” emphasizing that on-chain access to institutional-grade data could accelerate the convergence of traditional and decentralized finance.
Using Chainlink’s DataLink service, developers will be able to integrate Russell and FTSE indices into DeFi protocols, structured products, and asset management tools, ensuring transparency, reliability, and compliance-grade data feeds. This opens the door for programmable finance tools that mirror traditional market exposure, such as synthetic ETFs and automated index-tracking portfolios.
The partnership builds on Chainlink’s recent integrations with Deutsche Börse and S&P Global, reinforcing its position as the leading bridge between institutional data providers and blockchain ecosystems. As of November 3, 2025, the Russell 1000 index closed at 3,736.50, symbolizing the expanding overlap between real-world markets and decentralized infrastructure.
