
Prabowo and 5 business leaders discussed industry, job creation and strengthening national economy.
JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto met five prominent Indonesian businessmen at Padepokan Garudayaksa in Hambalang, Bogor, on Tuesday (10/2) evening.
The meeting lasted around four hours, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
The five businessmen in attendance were Prajogo Pangestu (Barito Pacific Group), Garibaldi Thohir, also known as Boy Thohir (Alamtri Group), Sugianto Kusuma, known as Aguan (Agung Sedayu Group), Anthony Salim (Salim Group), and Franky Widjaja (Sinar Mas Group).
Prabowo received input from the business leaders regarding Indonesia’s economic challenges and prospects. He also stressed the importance of collaboration between the government and the private sector through the concept of “Indonesia Incorporated”.
“President Prabowo invited the business leaders to work together with the government to create jobs, particularly in the real sector, in order to drive industrial development and strengthen MSMEs,” the official Instagram account of Indonesia’s Cabinet Secretariat said on Wednesday (11/2).
In the post, the Cabinet Secretariat underlined that the business leaders expressed their commitment to support government policies, including poverty alleviation, improving children’s nutrition and education, and developing national industry. (DH/KR/ZH)
