Moments of reminiscing, catching up and nostalgia filled the atmosphere of The Parade Hotel on Sunday as the founding students at Newton Moore Senior High School gathered for their 60th anniversary reunion.
More than 50 people from across the State attended a day filled with fun and laughter as they shared their journey since they were high schoolers in a newly opened Newton Moore Senior High School in 1966.
One of the former students and organiser of the reunion Vicki James said the students have been catching up every year since their 50th anniversary.
“The 60th gathering is a wonderful time to catch up and make more memories of the students and sometimes the teachers from back then,” she said.
“The school has grown now with a lot more opportunities for students to shine in new prospects for the future.”
