A team of three former Google X innovators is aiming to turn artificial intelligence into something far more personal — a digital “second brain.” The startup, which is still operating in stealth mode, has just secured $6 million in seed funding to build its ambitious vision.
The founders, who previously worked on moonshot projects under Google’s experimental X division, say their goal is to design an AI system that can act as an extension of human memory and cognition.
Unlike typical productivity tools, this AI would learn a user’s habits, store knowledge, and even anticipate needs — essentially functioning as a backup brain.

“We’re not just building another AI chatbot,” one co-founder explained. “We want to create something that integrates seamlessly into your life — a personal intelligence system that thinks alongside you.”
The $6 million raise was led by a mix of Silicon Valley venture firms and angel investors with backgrounds in AI and frontier tech. The funding will be used to expand the team, develop the AI’s core architecture, and begin early user testing.
The idea of a “second brain” is not new — productivity enthusiasts have long used apps like Notion, Obsidian, and Evernote to replicate the concept. But the ex-Google X trio believes AI can elevate the practice, offering real-time memory recall, contextual suggestions, and personalized decision support.
