Foreign Affairs Ministry faulted on recruitment

The Office of the Ombudsman has ruled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) acted unlawfully and unfairly when they cancelled the recruitment of foreign service officers (FSOs) after interviews had already been conducted.

The findings follow an investigation that was conducted following a complaint filed in November 2022 regarding the unfair cancellation of a recruitment process for FSOs by the ministry in conjunction with CSC.
