Berlin, Germany – November 6–9, 2025

Art on Tezos is set to unfold in Berlin this November, offering a three-day showcase of exhibitions, artist-led projects, and film screenings that spotlight the evolving landscape of digital art on the Tezos blockchain.

The event brings together a diverse roster of creators working at the crossroads of contemporary art and blockchain technology. Among the participants are American artist and programmer Lauren Lee McCarthy and Irish conceptual pioneer Kevin Abosch, joining more than 200 artists whose works will be on view. The showcase aims to capture the diversity, experimentation, and innovation shaping digital art today—well beyond the initial hype of 2021.

The exhibition arrives at a challenging moment for the digital art sector. Christie’s recently announced the closure of its NFT division, while floor prices for once-iconic NFT collections have dropped sharply. Against this backdrop, Tezos has charted a different course. With its emphasis on energy efficiency, sustainability, and low-cost minting, the blockchain has cultivated a vibrant and resilient community. Platforms like fx(hash), objkt.com, and teia, alongside collaborations with major institutions such as MoMA and the Musée d’Orsay, underscore its growing cultural footprint.

“Art on Tezos: Berlin demonstrates what’s possible when artists, curators, collectors, and platforms come together with a shared vision,” said Aleksandra Artamonovskaja, Head of Arts at Trilitech, in an email to crypto.news.

“This event isn’t only about spotlighting individual works, but about charting the possibilities of digital art and celebrating the ecosystem that supports it. The breadth of partners involved reflects the collaborative, experimental spirit that makes Tezos a home for art in the digital age. We’re proud to bring this global community together.”

crypto.news was granted an exclusive preview of select digital works and the artists behind them, offering a glimpse of what attendees can expect from this landmark showcase.

Highlights from Art on Tezos 2025:

‘Deeper Meditations #1,’ 2021 by Memo Akten

Deeper Meditations #1, by computational artist Memo Akten, visualizes the inner workings of an artificial neural network through a generative video. The still image above captures a moment from this digital exploration.

Building on earlier projects such as Journey Through the Layers of the Mind (2015), Learning to See (2017), and Deep Meditations (2018), Akten continues his inquiry into machine perception and creativity. Created with VQGAN+CLIP and featured on the Tezos marketplace objkt, the work will be showcased as part of Art on Tezos 2025.

Memo Akten (@memoakten)

Memo Akten is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher, and computer scientist whose practice spans AI, sound, video, performance, and installation. His work explores human–machine entanglements and reflects on the cultural, social, and ecological dimensions of contemporary techno-life.

‘Autumn,’ 2025 by Ilya Bliznets

This work forms part of Ilya Bliznets’ four-part “Seasons” series, alongside Spring, Winter, and Summer—the latter minted earlier this year. Described as an AI-driven digital painting and collage, the piece layers and fuses diverse visual elements into a singular composition. Bliznets’ artworks will be showcased at Art on Tezos 2025.

Ilya Bliznets (@ilyabliznets)

Ilya Bliznets is a digital figurative artist whose practice merges AI-generated imagery with meticulous post-processing in Photoshop. To date, he has created around 183 works on the Tezos NFT marketplace objkt, many of which explore recurring themes of abstraction—blending machine-made forms with a distinctly human touch.

‘Born out of water,’ 2025 by Olga Shpak

According to its description, this ultra-realistic digital photograph portrays a human figure suspended in a watery tank. Dedicated to women and the creation of new life, artist Olga Shpak envisions a future where life emerges from plant essences and aquatic elements. The work will be featured at Art on Tezos 2025.

Olga Shpak (@OlgaShpakArt)

Olga Shpak is a conceptual staged photography artist who transforms everyday moments into images layered with symbolic and conceptual meaning. Her work blends portraiture, fashion, and fine art, combining aesthetic expression with thoughtful commentary.

‘Chameleon Puzzle,’ by suisoichi

Chameleon Puzzle, by digital artist suisoichi (@suisoichi), is a surreal, dreamlike composition that fuses celestial motifs, abstract creatures, and enigmatic text. Golden, mask-like eyes emerge from misty forms, while vivid red, blue, green, and yellow orbs punctuate the scene. Created using a blend of digital drawing and effects, the artwork will be showcased at Art on Tezos 2025.

suisoichi (@suisoichi)

Suisoichi is a digital artist recognized for his surreal and experimental pixel art, digital drawings, and GIFs, often incorporating anime-inspired elements. Working under the alias suisoichi, he describes himself as an image and GIF creator. His portfolio includes a series of “dirty pixel art” made using MS Paint and GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program).
