
Police are probing two suspected car firebomb attacks in Kirkcaldy.
Fire crews raced to a car on fire in Lawson Gardens, Fife, at 3:05am on Thursday, November 13.
A second motor was set alight in Haig Avenue at 3.25am – just a half a mile away.
Emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, raced to the scene.
An investigation has been launched to establish the exact circumstances surrounding both incidents.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers in Kirkcaldy are investigating two reports of wilful fire-raising, as cars were set alight at Lawson Gardens and Haig Avenue, in the early hours of Thursday, 13 November, 2025.
“The incidents happened around 3.05am and 3.25am respectively, and are being treated as linked. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 0292 of 13 November, 2025.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.22am on Thursday, 13 November to reports of a vehicle fire in Kirkcaldy.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the town’s Haig Avenue, where firefighters extinguished the fire and worked to make the area safe.
“There were no casualties.”
