SEOUL, July 4 (Yonhap) — The finance ministry said Friday it plans to roll out a new program designed to support public officials in writing Korean-language reports more efficiently.
The program includes standardized internal templates frequently used by ministry staff, such as press releases and parliamentary briefing materials, the ministry said. It also offers preformatted styles for graphs and tables, along with a collection of commonly used special characters.
“As the government’s lead agency on economic and fiscal policy, our staff spend a significant amount of time drafting reports,” the ministry said in a press release. “This new program is expected to drastically reduce the time spent formatting documents and enhance overall work efficiency.”
The ministry has been actively leveraging digital tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), to improve administrative efficiency.
In February, the ministry became the first government agency to launch an AI-powered platform named AI Hub, which assists in information retrieval and draft writing.
