According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), on November 29, at about 12:30 p.m., deputies responded to a reckless endangering report around Big Fall Creek Road, northeast of Lowell.
Officials say that Bryan, 44, was in a truck with Johnnie Faye Cartwright, 32, and their three children.
“At some point Bryan got out of the pickup truck and began walking on Big Fall Creek Road,” LCSO said in a press release. “Cartwright then attempted to run over Bryan, crashing the truck with the children inside, into the ditch.”
Bryan was able to get out of the way, officials said. No one was injured. Following interviews with both adults, deputies say both were impared. Bryan was not supposed to be in contact with Cartwright after a previous court order.
“After additional investigation, Cartwright was arrested for Attempted Assault in the 1st Degree, three counts of Recklessly Endangering, and DUII,” LCSO said. “Bryan was arrested for a probation violation on an original charge of Assault in the 4th Degree.”
The children are in the care of a family member, officials said.
