Lisa Cook is a Governor and has a permanent vote. Trump looked to have her removed from the Fed Board due to purported lies on mortgage applications. The Supreme Court of the United States allowed her to remain in her role for now, declining the administration’s request to expedite removal. Oral arguments are scheduled for January 2026.
