FBI Probes ‘Signals,’ Mystery Visitors Amid Kirk Murder Case

FBI Director Kash Patel announced Sunday that his agency is investigating multiple theories and questions related to the Sept. 10 assassination of Charlie Kirk.

In a post on X, Patel stated that he is “committed to ensuring the investigation into Charlie Kirk’s assassination is thorough and exhaustive.”

The FBI director emphasized that investigators are “examining every facet of this assassination,” while addressing some of the circulating theories.

“We are meticulously investigating theories and questions, including the location from where the shot was taken, the possibility of accomplices, the text message confession and related conversations, Discord chats, the angle of the shot and bullet impact, how the weapon was transported, hand gestures observed as potential ‘signals’ near Charlie at the time of his assassination, and visitors to the alleged shooter’s residence in the hours and days leading up to September 10, 2025,” Patel said.

The FBI has collected evidence from multiple sources, including electronic communications, interviews and ballistic analysis, according to Patel.

Investigators are working to determine whether anyone besides the suspected shooter was involved.

Patel noted that while some elements of the case are “known today,” other aspects remain under active review to “ensure every possibility is considered.”

He added, “Our primary focus is to complete this investigation and deliver justice. To protect the integrity of the investigation and subsequent prosecution, we cannot release every piece of information we have to the public right now.”

The FBI director also addressed public speculation regarding a plane that allegedly turned off its transponder after departing near Orem, Utah, where the shooting occurred.

“We can share updates (about the plane) when answers are confirmed,” Patel said.

“After interviews with the pilot and consultation with the FAA, we determined the transponder was not turned off. Incomplete flight data in rural areas caused the apparent gap.”

Patel affirmed that the agency remains dedicated to pursuing answers in the case.

“The entire FBI mourns the loss of Charlie Kirk,” he said.

“We will not rest until justice is served, and our investigation into this assassination will continue until every question is answered.”

Patel’s remarks came on the same day as the memorial event held for Kirk at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The stadium, which can hold tens of thousands of attendees, was filled with mourners who came to remember Kirk’s life and influence.

Family, friends, political leaders and supporters gathered to pay tribute to the conservative commentator, who was known nationally for his work and activism.

The event included speeches, prayers and personal reflections on Kirk’s impact.

Among the speakers was Vice President JD Vance, who shared his reflections on Kirk’s life and legacy.

In a post on X, Vance announced his return to Arizona to participate in the memorial.

He wrote that he was there to “remember Charlie and honor his sacrifice.”

Vance stated, “Last week, we brought my dear friend Charlie Kirk home one last time. May he eternally rest in peace, and may God watch over Erika and their beautiful children.”
