Families are being invited to a special event to mark two decades of early years support.
The drop-in session, taking place at the 1891 restaurant in Rhyl from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday, March 4, will celebrate 20 years of the Flying Start Service in Denbighshire and showcase the network of services supporting families with young children.
Organised by Denbighshire County Council’s Flying Start team, the event will give families the chance to meet with service providers, learn about support available in their area, and gather information for children under the age of four.
Councillor Diane King, lead member for education, children and families, said: “This is great opportunity for local families to come along and find what support is available to them. Families with children under four should check their eligibility to see if additional support is available to them.
“As well as providing support, our team will be signposting to local child-friendly activities.”
The event is designed to raise awareness of the services offered through the Flying Start programme, a Welsh Government-funded scheme that supports children from birth up to their fourth birthday in designated post code areas.
The programme aims to give children the best start in life by promoting healthy growth and development.
Parents and carers will be able to speak directly to the Flying Start team, access advice and resources, and learn about community activities suitable for young children.
By bringing these services together under one roof, the event aims to make it easier for families to understand what support is available and how to access it.
The drop-in format means families can attend at any time during the session.
