Hayley is reeling from Anto’s death as Sharon and Ger begin planning a small family funeral on Sunday night’s Fair City.
Juliet insists Mondo acted in self-defence, but Hayley is determined to give another statement to that Gardaí to ensure that Mondo is charged with murder.
Claire advises Mondo to stay calm during questioning, reminding him Anto pushed him first.
Hayley tells Fidelma that Mondo suspected Anto over the fire but claims he was wrong. She lies, saying Anto was in the UK with her brothers at the time, and they’ll confirm it.
Juliet is adamant that Mondo will be cleared, but Alex warns her not to get overly involved or she could cause trouble.
Claire and Melanie try to build a defence, suggesting Anto may have been drunk and lost balance, but Mondo remains dazed.
Ger is shocked when Hayley admits she lied to the Garda and that Lee agreed to back her story.
When they learn the funeral will be private, Hughie, Pete, and Paul plan a gathering at McCoy’s for others to pay their respects. Dolores thanks Pete for being a steady support.
Meanwhile, Darren is panicked when he gets gum stuck on a couch cushion and implores Kim to help him get it off.
Kim helps Darren buy a replacement cushion for Cass, and they apologise for messing with the chewing gum.
