Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Orla Molloy and Dolores Molloy struggle to find a replacement manager for the garage. Doug Ferguson, played by Wesley Doyle, is reluctant to get involved between Pete and Ray’s fight but continues to doubt his own abilities as the new sales manager.
When Doug gets flustered on another sale, Ray notices him struggling and advises him to stop imitating Pete’s selling style and be himself. Pete begins to feel guilty when Dolores and Erica discuss the stress that Doug and the garage are under.
Dolores, played by Martina Stanley, sets a meet up to try mend things between Pete and Ray, but neither are ready to compromise. Frustrated, Dolores decides it’s time for Orla to step up in order to save the business.
James Rafferty hides his injuries from the recent attack, but his mother Emma grows concerned about him. Rafferty is short on patience with James, but Emma insists he should go easier on him.
James confronts Ger Lynch for not protecting him from the lender, but Ger makes it clear that his problems are far from over. When Emma discovers that James’ debt is more dangerous than she realised, she confronts him, and he reluctantly reveals his bruising.
