
ON Jan. 26 at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Bulwagang Balagtas, P1NTIG — a block of fourth-year Advertising and Public Relations students from the PUP College of Communication, invited students to step into the wild with “AD Jungle: A journey through the wild trails of production design,” one of the highlight seminars of the 22nd Advertising Congress.

More than a traditional seminar, AD Jungle transformed learning into an immersive creative quest where strategy, imagination, and execution collided. Inspired by adventure and the unpredictability of creative work, the event spotlighted production design — an often-overlooked discipline that shapes how ideas evolve from concept to compelling visual stories.
Designed as an interactive experience, the seminar brought together students and industry professionals through two core segments. “Mapping the creative wilderness of production” explored how ideas are developed, planned, and translated into visual concepts, while “How production design agencies strike big” discussed bold execution, collaboration, and creative risk-taking behind successful campaigns.
A major highlight was “Studio Survival,” a live, game-based activity where student camps tackled creative challenges, riddles, and a final product shoot. The activity tested teamwork, adaptability, and decision-making under pressure, while solo participants were able to fully immerse themselves in the experience by witnessing the competition unfold.
