Amicorp FS (UK) PLC – fund services provider – Chief Financial Officer Tat Cheung ‘Stephen’ Wong on Monday announces his decision to step down, effective from January 29. Company says he is leaving to pursue other business opportunities. Announces that Senior Finance Manager Shane Gordon Anderson “will take on the financial reporting role”. However, he “will not be joining the board at this time”. Anderson was finance director “at a fintech company” before joining Amicorp, and head of finance “at a multi-national fund services group”.

Genflow Biosciences PLC – London-based biotechnology firm – Says on Monday that Gad Berdugo has joined the board, effective immediately, and will assume the role of independent non-executive chair. Tamara Joseph, the outgoing chair, will remain at Genflow as a director. Berdugo is currently the managing partner of biotechnology-focused strategic and financial advisory company Explorium Capital LLC, and his most recent roles include serving as chief business officer at Editas Medicine and Nutcracker Therapeutics. Genflow says he has a proven record of driving strategic partnerships, securing capital, and scaling both private and public development-stage biotechnology companies. Also highlights his “deep technical and market expertise in RNA-based therapeutics, including lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery, development, and manufacturing”. Genflow also expects Berdugo’s appointment to further strengthen its US presence and expand its global engagement capacity.

Amala Foods PLC – cash shell – Appoints Simon Grant-Rennick as an executive director on Monday, effective immediately. Grant-Rennick is currently the executive chair at Evrima PLC, a non-executive director at Imara Gold PLC, and a non-executive at Everest Global PLC, alongside various other directorships. His previous directorships include being chair of Igraine PLC from 2021 to 2025, and of Elk Investments Ltd from 1998 to 2021. Amala says: “His expertise encompasses not only mining and minerals but also metals, agriculture and property.” Notes that he has managed public and private mining firms in Uganda and Malawi, and metal trading ones in the UK and Bermuda. Company also says Aidan Bishop has resigned as a director, but “will continue to assist the board as required”. Finally, Amala says it has been making progress towards identifying a suitable deal that could lead to a reverse takeover. Says it will update the market in due course.

DeFi Development Corporation UK PLC – provider of AI platform that allows businesses to automate tasks, formerly named Cykel AI PLC – Announces on Thursday the appointments of Hadley Stern as non-executive chair, and Nathalie Maggi as executive director & chief financial officer, both effective from the day of the announcement. DeFi says Maggi was senior finance manager at cryptocurrency exchange Binance for four years, and “brings over a decade of international finance leadership across fintech and crypto, with deep experience navigating high-growth, regulated, and innovative markets.” Stern, meanwhile, “is a veteran executive in digital assets and emerging technologies”. He was formerly chief commercial officer at solana staking company Marinade Finance from mid-2024 to November last year, and was chief operating officer at blockchain infrastructure company Bloq Inc. He was also head of the Amazon Web Services Innovation Lab from 2020 to 2021.
