SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The killing of Cassidy Rainwater has not been forgotten by Ozarks First anchor Bailey Strohl, who has reported on the case from the beginning.
She has written and produced a four-part documentary series, “Murder on Moon Valley Road: The Killing of Cassidy Rainwater.” The first episode premieres Thursday, March 12. Watch the video above for a preview.
Ozarks First has spent years working to piece together what happened inside a cabin along Moon Valley Road in rural Dallas County. But with the accused never standing trial, key questions — including the motive — were left largely unanswered.
Now, after an extensive records request, Strohl has obtained the complete history of the investigation: thousands of pages of reports, hundreds of crime scene photos, body camera footage and hours of law enforcement interviews that culminated in a confession.
