Chitrangda Singh is basking in the glory of the success of her film Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, currently streaming on Netflix. She has seen a lot of acclaim and success in her two-decade career and some lows too. One film that she almost did was Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3.
In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the actress revealed, “I definitely could’ve played that. I was very excited at that point to play that part and we did the audition. We also did look tests. That is history, but I’m really hoping to do something with action. I am really hoping to play some interesting action women. That’s what I am manifesting right now.”
What Rakesh Roshan said about the actress back in 2011
Rakesh Roshan said: “Actually I was to start the film in October and had taken the dates accordingly. But now I’ve shifted the film to December. Chitrangada tried her best to give us dates in December-January. But I think she has some family commitments. So she couldn’t accommodate us. I had to opt for another actor.”
Chitrangda Singh on Chalte Chalte
Chitrangda Singh has said this in many of her interviews how she was supposed to be a part of films like Tanu Weds Manu and Gangster. But there is one more film she was doing and that is the 2003 film Chalte Chalte with Shah Rukh Khan. So why did this not happen?
Singh revealed, “Aishwarya was already a part of it and they started shooting. Some mix up happened and they were stuck in the middle and looking for someone. Aziz Mirza had seen my work and was Sudhir Mishra’s close friend and wanted to work with me. They reached out to me, that’s what Shah Rukh told me.”
She added, “This was the time when I gave up work and changed my phone number. So it didn’t happen.”
