Explore the opportunities and rich diversity offered by the Grand Duchy, as well as making connections, at this year’s Your Luxembourg Expat Day.
Last year, more than 7,000 visitors had fun and picked up useful tips about Luxembourg, at Your Luxembourg Expat Day, so expect more of the same this year. The organisers Luxembourg Times and brain & more will be repeating the formula for the third time on Sunday 7 September 2025 at Neumünster Abbey in the Grund, Luxembourg City from 10am to 6pm. There will be a full day of activities, demonstrations, food and information for newcomers to Luxembourg and long-term residents alike. Entry is free of charge.
Visitors will gain important practical information for personal and professional life (e.g. banking, health, utilities, driving licences and insurance, childcare, language learning…) as well as insight into the offering of culture, sport, clubs, food, places to visit and more. Plus, there will be a host of other enriching experiences, with more than 40 stands offering information, fun and appetising culinary experiences. Many stands will be interactive, and there’ll be plenty to interest and amuse the kids.

Musical hits played live
Nothing beats a good cover band, and Cosmic Clic will be on hand to generate atmosphere with their diverse playlist featuring rock, funk, and international pop anthems. From the raw energy of the Rolling Stones to the sleek grooves of The Weeknd, with blasts of -M- and Nirvana in between, they light up the stage. This is just part of the musical offering during the day, which also includes a DJ and karaoke.
Sample local culinary specialities
Your Luxembourg Expat Day is also an opportunity to sample local and international food and drink specialities from stands and food trucks. Luxembourgish milk cooperative Luxlait is known for its high-quality products, not least the texture and flavours of its ice creams. Whether you fancy traditional varieties or more sophisticated recipes, you’ll enjoy the experience, particularly as these will be served from the iconic Luxlait ice cream bicycle. Alternatively, for a quick flavour and caffeine hit, try their Café Lattes, available in cappuccino, espresso, and caramel flavours.
