While there’s no fancy ceremony, your new life living with the friendly monster has only just begun.
The required Void Ghost Pendant to move in with Krobus can be bought for 200 Void Essence at the desert trader.
The main differences between Krobus and standard marriage candidates are that, rather than being your official spouse, Krobus is simply a roommate who’s happy to have a new best friend to hang out with. Given the unique nature of this new relationship, kissing your spouse is replaced with hugging instead, after which a smiling emote will appear rather than a romantic heart. Despite the differences, Krobus can still give you gifts depending on the weather and change home decor while you’re away, which understandably puts off some players given his sewer-like sense of style.

One of the main advantages of taking your friendship with Krobus to the next platonic level is that it unlocks the 13-heart Stardrop requirement without having to explicitly romance anyone, allowing you to be an independent farmer who doesn’t need romantic love to thrive. Although this means you can’t have children with Krobus, he’s still more than happy to support you as a friend in raising any offspring from your previous marriages.
