Their duties include supporting engagement with the press. This involves drafting newsletters, press releases, and social media content. They will also help produce short videos and factsheets.
Trainees will gain hands-on experience in a diplomatic mission. They will support the coordination of communication clusters. Organization of internal and external events is also a key part of the role.
Applicants must currently reside in Ethiopia. This is due to local health and security considerations. The opportunity is for recent graduates with a maximum of one year of work experience.
Candidates need a Master’s degree in communication, journalism, or similar fields. Degrees in political science or international relations are also accepted. Fluency in English is mandatory.
A keen understanding of EU and AU politics is essential. Excellent analytical and drafting skills are required. Proficiency with design platforms like Canva is a significant advantage.
