Ethereum is stealing the spotlight from Bitcoin after institutional buyers funneled over $1 billion into spot Ether ETFs in just one trading session – the largest daily inflow the asset has ever seen.
The surge signals a dramatic shift in sentiment, with traditional finance now embracing ETH at a scale few expected.
The biggest boost came from BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust, which captured more than half the total inflows in a single day.
Fidelity’s Ethereum fund also broke its own record, attracting hundreds of millions in fresh capital. Together, these moves left Bitcoin ETFs trailing far behind in Monday’s trade.
Market watchers say this wasn’t a fluke. Over the last month, Ethereum’s price has climbed sharply, powered by falling exchange reserves and growing demand for its network utility.
Blockchain analytics show ETH holdings on centralized platforms are at their lowest point in nearly a decade – a sign that more investors are locking coins away for the long haul.
Ethereum’s dominance extends beyond price action. It remains the go-to blockchain for tokenizing assets, accounting for the majority share across the entire crypto ecosystem.
