Ethereum price prediction 2025: Ethereum may be struggling below the $4,200 mark right now, but BitMine Technologies chairman Tom Lee isn’t losing faith. In fact, he believes the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency could triple in value by the end of 2025, climbing to $12,000-$15,000, as per a report.
Despite Ethereum’s recent price pain, the BitMine chairman said that he expects Ethereum to surpass its previous highs, with “real price discovery” occurring between $12,000 and $15,000, that means that ETH could see another 200% rally, during Q4 2025, as per the Coinspeaker report.
During the Korea Blockchain Week’s Impact conference, Lee called Ethereum a “truly neutral chain” that has the potential to become the backbone of Wall Street adoption and even government-backed crypto initiatives, as per the Coinspeaker report. He pointed out that the White House and Congress under US president Donald Trump have shown a growing focus on Ethereum, further boosting its long-term prospects, as per the report.

Lee also highlighted the growing overlap between artificial intelligence and blockchain, suggesting Ethereum will be central to a “token economy for robots,” according to the Coinspeaker report. He tied this into Trump’s recent remarks about the need for “proof-of-human” systems, and that work Lee says is already happening on Ethereum, as reported by Coinspeaker.
He said, “So when I look at that, combined with agentic AI and robots that are really gonna create the need for a token economy for robots, a lot of that will happen on Ethereum. In fact, President Trump today just talked about how he needs proof-of-human to protect us, and a lot of that work is going to be done on Ethereum,” as quoted in the report.

BitMine itself is putting its money in ETF as the company recently aded 264K ETF and boosted its ETH holdings to 2.14 million coins, worth more than $11 billion, aking it the largest Ethereum treasury globally and the second-largest crypto treasury overall, as reported by Coinspeaker.
Lee compared BitMine’s ETH-heavy strategy to Michael Saylor’s MicroStrategy, which famously became a giant Bitcoin treasury. He pointed out that both companies have effectively transformed into large-cap stocks and he believes that the two firms will attract passive inflows as they are incorporated into major indices during the upcoming rebalancing, as per the report.
Since BitMine shifted to an Ethereum-focused treasury model, the firm’s market capitalization has increased from around $37.6 million in June to approximately $9.45 billion, as per the Coinspeaker report.
