For the April-January period of FY26, total tractor volumes rose 16.3% year-on-year to 1,11,212 units, driven by a 15.1% increase in domestic sales and a 46.6% jump in exports.
In contrast, the construction equipment business reported softer numbers. Escorts Kubota sold 524 construction machines in January 2026, compared with 544 units a year earlier, reflecting a 3.7% decline. The company said the sector continues to face demand softness and slower infrastructure execution, though early signs of stabilisation are emerging, aided by project awards and expectations of higher government spending going forward .
