West Bromwich Albion have parted ways with head coach Eric Ramsay following a 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic at The Hawthorns which extended his winless run to eight league matches.
George Campbell broke the Baggies’ 405-minute goal drought by nodding them ahead deep into first-half stoppage time. However, Lyndon Dykes equalised for the Addicks in the 70th minute, ensuring Ramsay remained without a victory since taking charge.
The result leaves the Baggies in 21st position in the Championship table, just one point above the relegation zone.
The club confirmed late on Tuesday evening, after 11pm, that they had dismissed Ramsay alongside his assistant Dennis Lawrence.

“Assistant head coach Dennis Lawrence has also departed The Hawthorns.
“The club would like to place on record its thanks to Eric and Dennis and wishes them well for the future.
“First-team coach James Morrison will oversee first-team affairs on an interim basis.”
In his final words as Albion boss, following the draw against Charlton, Ramsay said: “We’re not talking about this performance in isolation – we are adding this to multiple draws, not enough wins and not enough getting over the line so it has the feeling of a step backwards.
“I know what this situation needs at the moment – it needs wins, it doesn’t need draws.
“The number of chances were enough to win the game but it wasn’t good enough.
