A Renault Kadjar, an Audi S8 and an Audi A3 were involved in the crash
Emergency services were sent to the scene of a crash in St Helens this morning, Tuesday (January 13). Merseyside Police was called at around 7.50am to reports of a crash on the St Helens Linkway just after the Sherdley Farm bridge.
The crash involved three vehicles, a Renault Kadjar, an Audi S8 and an Audi A3, which have been in the process of being recovered, police said. The northbound carriageway was closed this morning and the council was also in attendance. No injuries have been reported at this stage.
According to traffic management system INRIX the crash was causing delays in the area. It reported: “A570 St Helens Linkway Northbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident from B5204 Elton Head Road to A569 Scorecross (Sherdley Roundabout).”
INRIX has since said the road has been cleared and traffic is easing following the incident.
