Eight Homicides In Dallas So Far In July 2025 As Violent Crime Persists

A Dallas man was fatally shot early Saturday morning, marking the city’s eighth homicide in the month of July as violent crime continues to plague neighborhoods across the city.

29-year-old Isaiah McWilliams was shot around 3:25 a.m. on July 19 in the 3500 block of Wilhurt Avenue, according to the Dallas Police Department. First responders transported him to a hospital, where he later died. The case is being investigated under report number 102558‑2025.

Details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain scarce. No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made. Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact Detective B. Billings at 214‑671‑3083 or [email protected].

McWilliams’ death adds to a growing list of homicide victims in July. A DX review of police reports confirms eight people have been killed in the city so far this month. Victims range in age from 17 to 63.

Confirmed Homicides in Dallas – July 2025

* July 1 – 3600 W. Camp Wisdom RoadJaime Rokkett, 53, was shot and killed during an alleged domestic dispute.Rashonda Lowe, 43, turned herself in and was charged with murder.

* July 4 – 9400 Bruton RoadAn unidentified man was found shot inside a car. He later died at a hospital.No suspect has been named.

* July 5 – 2600 Canton Street (Deep Ellum)Caylen Fritz, 22, was fatally shot during a fight between two groups.Gael Aguilar, 19, was arrested and charged with murder.(Note: This incident appears in multiple press releases but includes only one fatality.)

* July 5 – 5500 Pick Fair CircleAn unidentified man was shot and later died.A grand jury referral has been submitted.

* July 10 – 3100 Easter AvenueJaden McMillan, 17, was shot by an unknown suspect. He died at a hospital.Investigation ongoing.

* July 13 – 7900 Olusta DriveMaria Manning, 63, was found dead at the scene.A man was also injured. No arrests announced.

* July 14 – 100 Pemberton Hill RoadAn unidentified man was shot and killed.Authorities have not released the victim’s name.

* July 19 – 3500 Wilhurt AvenueIsaiah McWilliams, 29, was shot and later died at the hospital.No suspects named.

Community Concerns and Police Appeals

The month’s string of killings has amplified public concerns about the city’s persistent violent crime and the strain it places on law enforcement and neighborhoods alike.

Detectives are actively investigating each case and are asking members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist in solving these crimes. Tips can be submitted directly to detectives or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
