An Edinburgh teenager has appeared in court after a ‘serious incident’ – charged with an alleged assault and being in possession of a weapon.
Emergency services were sent to Colinton Mains Drive at around 6.30pm on Sunday, November 9. Paramedics attended and a 20-year-old male was taken to hospital for treatment.
His condition is not currently known. A 17-year-old girl has since been arrested and charged in connection.
The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday charged with assault to severe injury, carrying an offensive weapon and breaching bail.
She made no plea and was remanded in custody to appear again at court within the next eight days. It’s understood emergency services were at the scene for some time but the road was not closed.
Pictures taken at the time show blue lights in the distance with some traffic brought to a halt. Officers were also spotted with police dogs and torches. One passer-by, who was visiting a relative, claims she was told to go back inside and “move away” from the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.40pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025, we were called to a report of a disturbance in the Oxgangs Bank area of Edinburgh.
