A motorist has found themselves in trouble after ploughing into a lamppost. It was discovered the driver had no licence or insurance.
As reported by StokeonTrentLive, police were called to Bath Street in Weston Coyney at around 7pm on June 5. At the time Staffordshire Police said they had been called to reports of a collision which needed the vehicle recovering.
Images taken at the time showed how it looked like engineers had been forced to remove the majority of the post.
Today the force has responded to StokeonTrentLive’s request for further details over whether any action was taken against the driver.
A spokesman said: “The driver was issued a traffic ticket for no licence and no insurance.”
