Jon Jones had an awkward run-in with a UFC heavyweight contender on Saturday night.
The former two-weight UFC champion was at an IBA Bare Knuckle boxing show in Moscow, Russia.
Footage shows the 38-year-old admitting defeat after a playful ‘rematch’ with the only man who has ever knocked him out, Adlan Amagov, who famously floored Jon Jones with a spinning back kick to the stomach in sparring.
‘Bones’ took another L when a video of him meeting Sergei Pavlovich was shared on social media.

Sergei Pavlovich shared footage of him meeting the consensus greatest fighter in MMA history.
“Glad to meet you in Moscow! #ufc,” the Russian contender captioned his X post.
What seemed like a friendly moment between two UFC heavyweights was subsequently picked apart by fans, who noticed that Jones’ offer to shake hands was totally ignored by Pavlovich.
“No way you snubbed my GOAT” one person said. While another asked: “Did he just ignore Jones’ handshake?”
“Bro completely ignored Jon Jones handshake,” a third fan laughed.
Jon Jones announced his retirement from MMA in June, but he quickly U-turned on that decision.
The proud American expressed his desire to fight at the July 2026 UFC event at the White House.
However, Dana White recently shut down Jones’ comeback dream following UFC 318 last weekend.
The UFC CEO claimed he ‘can’t risk’ putting Jones in important positions after he backed out of a fight with heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.
Jones was ‘disappointed’ by White’s comments, but he has refused to give up on his White House dream.
By all accounts, he still seems determined to make a comeback after one of the shortest retirements of all time.
