
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) appointed Benjamin Swinburne as Executive Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Strategy, according to a company statement.
Swinburne will report to Hugh F. Johnston, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He previously served as Managing Director and Head of US Media and Telecom & Cable Services Research at Morgan Stanley.
In his new position, Swinburne will oversee Disney’s investor relations function, communicating financial performance and strategic vision to institutional investors, retail shareholders, and analysts. He will also lead long-term strategic planning and market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
At Morgan Stanley, Swinburne led equity research coverage of media, entertainment, advertising, and telecom sectors for over two decades. He joined the firm as a research analyst in 1999 and was inducted into the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team Hall of Fame in 2021.
“Ben has been one of the industry’s most respected media analysts and brings deep insight into the evolving global entertainment landscape,” Johnston said in the statement.
Swinburne holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy with a finance concentration from Washington and Lee University and a master’s degree in accounting from Babson College.
Disney reported annual revenue of $94.4 billion in its Fiscal Year 2025. The company operates three business segments: Entertainment, Sports, and Experiences.
