Deloitte India has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud, under which it will operate as a Premier Partner, reseller and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) for Google Cloud in India. The collaboration is aimed at helping Indian enterprises and public sector organisations strengthen cyber resilience through AI-enabled security operations.

The partnership brings together Deloitte’s cybersecurity advisory and managed services capabilities with Google Cloud’s security operations and threat intelligence platforms. It is focused on addressing challenges such as AI-driven cyber threats, regulatory compliance, data localisation requirements and the ongoing shortage of cybersecurity talent.

Supporting modern security operations

As part of the collaboration, Deloitte India will support organisations in designing and operating modern Security Operations Centres (SOCs), migrating legacy environments to cloud-based security architectures and adopting security-as-a-service models. The objective is to improve threat detection and response capabilities while reducing the need for enterprises to build and maintain large in-house SOC teams.

According to Deloitte India, the partnership is intended to help organisations move towards integrated, cloud-native security operations that consolidate fragmented tools and improve visibility across environments.

Focus areas and technology stack

The collaboration centres on the deployment and management of several Google Cloud security capabilities, including:

Deloitte teams will integrate these platforms into managed security workflows to support proactive defence models, including continuous monitoring and faster incident response.

Addressing regulatory and sector-specific requirements

The expanded partnership is tailored for the Indian market, where regulatory compliance and sector-specific mandates play a central role in cybersecurity strategy. Deloitte India said the collaboration will help organisations align security implementations with regulatory frameworks and guidelines issued by bodies such as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), SEBI, and IRDA, and requirements under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), as well as applicable global regulations such as GDPR.

The partnership is targeted at sectors including banking and financial services (BFSI), energy and industrials, manufacturing, large conglomerates, consumer businesses, and government and public sector organisations.

AI-driven security operations

From an operational perspective, the collaboration aims to shift security teams from reactive incident handling to more proactive threat management. AI-enabled capabilities allow analysts to query security data using natural language, reducing investigation time and operational complexity. Global threat intelligence inputs are expected to help organisations identify emerging risks and apply preventive controls ahead of active attacks.

Deloitte and Google Cloud noted that while they maintain a global partnership, this expanded engagement reflects the specific cybersecurity, compliance and data governance needs of Indian enterprises and public institutions.
