Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K Review: Brilliant Monitor and Sound

My review load has been a heavy one in 2025, with multiple laptops, monitors, smartphones, and robots all in the mix. The Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K is among those monitors I have had the pleasure of reviewing this year. This is the company’s first non-gaming QD-OLED display, and it packs some interesting 3D spatial audio features. This has to be on your list of considerations, if you’re in the market for an all around excellent 4K monitor that can do various things really well. Still, it’s not perfect, nothing ever will be, because with us humans, satisfaction is rarely ever attainable. Someone will inevitably complain this isn’t enough.

Estimated reading time: 12 minutes

So with that in mind, the Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K checks a bunch of boxes, and it may not check enough for some. If you’re a discerning consumer, you will, at the very least, consider this monitor as a potential purchase. You’ll just have to decide if the boxes it doesn’t check, are absolutely needed for you to function. Let’s get into the full review.

The Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K is probably one of the top three 4K monitors that is an excellent all-around display for most people. That means it doesn’t excel in any one area, and users from the business world to the gaming world should be able to use this display with ease. I have found that this sort of user is more prominent than you might expect. So, I highly suggest you put this monitor, at the very least, on your consideration list because it deserves your attention.

The Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K strays a little from your typical Dell monitor design, but in a good way. While it maintains most of the basic look of Dell monitors, the white colorway and the distinctive fabric covered speaker bar on the front make it stand out.

The monitor is a solid performer as well, able to handle daily tasks, business tasks and even gaming with its 120Hz refresh rate. The QD-OLED 4K display is a first for Dell, in a non-gaming monitor, and it’s absolutely spectacular in both color and black levels.

The Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K also features spatial sound, which shines as one of the key selling points of this monitor. The sound on this monitor is superior to most other monitors, and most users will find no need to use external speakers or headphones. They are that good.

My only complaint, and it’s really not one I care that much about, is the limited port selection. Some users may find this to not have enough ports. But you can get something like the Dell Pro Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock to add some ports you might be lacking. Overall, the Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K is a fantastic monitor with brilliant sound and a fantastic 4K display.

The Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K strays a little from your typical Dell monitor design, but in a good way. While it maintains most of the basic look of Dell monitors, the white colorway and the distinctive speaker and camera bar on the front make it stand out.

The front of the monitor has slim bezels at the top and sides, but the bottom section is chunkier and houses those speakers covered in a black fabric. There is also a sensor to detect your motion here and a white LED at the bottom right. There’s a pop out USB-C port at the bottom left under the display as well.

Around the back are the ports and slots, below is a visual of those. I will say, the ports and slots are less than what normally comes on most monitors, and this may be an issue for some.

The back of the monitor is white, a departure from most Dell monitors, and I think it looks fantastic. The overall build quality is solid and premium, and it does not feel cheap. The stand is solid and also white, and the entire package looks excellent. Overall, this is a great-looking monitor with a chunky speaker chin that is worth it.

Setting the Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K up is a walk in the park. Most of Dell’s monitors are easy to put together. Just leave the main display in the box. Grab the arm and the bottom foot of the stand. Screw the foot into the arm. Slip the mount on the back of the display, and you’re done.

Setting up the software is simple as well, and you can download that from Dell here. More about the Dell Display and Peripheral Manager later, but it’s just a matter of downloading and installing. Simple and easy, and the interface is also easy to navigate.

Overall, setup, assembly, and using the monitor is elementary, nothing to it.

The Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K is a QD-OLED display and in terms of overall performance, it is spectacular. With a 120Hz refresh rate, this baby is an overall outstanding display for just about everything. It’s the Swiss Army Knife of monitors.

This display is suitable for basic users but does extremely well for content creators, business users, and even gamers. No, it’s not a gaming-focused monitor, but it handles it just fine for those times you want to take a break and shoot up some bad guys for a bit.

The color accuracy is great for content creators making videos and editing photos, and the deep blacks of the OLED display are fantastic. The colors are brilliant, and the whites are clean and crisp, with text popping off the screen.

Overall, the performance here is excellent, and the display is brilliant. This is easily one of the best-looking displays I’ve used in 2025.

Speakers on monitors have generally been a disappointment to me. Most monitors that house speakers are usually very thin and not at all good. There have been some exceptions, but they’re not in the majority. So when I heard the Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K promised some excellent audio, I was skeptical.

Well, it didn’t take long for the 32 Plus to win me over. Now, I will preface all of this with, I still prefer desktop reference speakers, but that’s only because I am a content creator and prefer reference speakers. It’s not because the speakers on the 32 Plus aren’t good. For the average user and for many people, these speakers are going to excel, and even I loved them when I didn’t require reference speakers for video editing.

The spatial sound is the real deal and watching YouTube videos, music videos and movies on this monitor was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had. The sound settings, as well as display settings, can be controlled in the Dell Display and Peripheral Manager software. I don’t think you need to use the software, you can control most of the features with the joystick on the back. But it is handy and easier to use. I’ve included a few screenshots below so you can see how this looks.

You can choose from six audio profiles, including movies, voice, and gaming. Each one changes the sound just a bit to a soundstage that compliments the content you’re consuming. I found this to work fairly well, especially for movies. The bottom end was boosted, giving the movie I was watching a better stage that held up the other sound much better. In other words, the Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K does an excellent job of holding up movie sound effects and dialogue.

The spatial sound works by manipulating “3D space” and it does work, even if you don’t believe it at first. Spatial sound isn’t new, but it is getting better every year, and I tested the Dell 32 Plus using the video below. As well as with movies with Dolby Atmos and other videos on YouTube.

Podcasts, YouTube videos, music, and video calls all sounded clear and superb on these speakers. The Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K is really not your run-of-the-mill monitor with speakers, it is on another level. Overall, if you’re looking for a 4K QD-OLED monitor with fantastic sound, this is the one you should be looking at.

At just under nine-hundred dollars, the Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K isn’t cheap. But I do believe that it is competitively priced with other 4K monitors in this category. With its brilliant QD-OLED 4K display and spatial audio capabilities, I think this monitor pumps out all the value most users need and then some. Yes, it is pricey, but worth it.

The Dell 32 Plus S3225QC 4K strays a little from your typical Dell monitor design, but in a good way. While it maintains most of the basic look of Dell monitors, the white colorway and the distinctive speaker and camera bar on the front make it stand out.
