Faisalabad – Deputy Commissioner (DC) Capt (R) Nadeem Nasir on Tuesday chaired a meeting of newly under-training assistant commissioners aimed at further strengthening professional capacity within the district administration. The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Assistant Commissioners City and Sadr, and other relevant officials. During the session, the newly appointed officers were briefed on the administrative structure of the district administration, field responsibilities, prompt resolution of public issues, price checking during the holy month of Ramadan, and effective implementation of government policies.
The DC stated that the position of assistant commissioner demands public service, merit, and transparency; therefore, officers undergoing training should focus particularly on fieldwork, revenue matters, price control, anti-encroachment operations, and maintenance of law and order. He directed that under-training officers should receive practical training under the supervision of senior officers and ensure active participation in day-to-day administrative affairs so they may gain a comprehensive understanding of ground realities and public expectations.
He further emphasised that officers must continuously enhance their professional skills and demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and courteous behaviour while dealing with the public.
