THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Thursday said that it was slashing fees and charges for corporate document requests starting July to improve access to data.
Tuesday’s issuance of Memorandum Circular 6, Series of 2025, is in line with a commitment to allow greater access to corporate data through a fair and sustainable pricing mechanism, the regulator said.
Under the new rates, physical and authenticated copies of company filings, such as articles of incorporation (AOI), by-laws or amended AOI/by-laws; secretary’s certificates; board resolutions; registration data sheets; and deeds of assignment, may now be requested for P1,000 each, down from the previous price of P2,000.
Authenticated copies of other documents can be purchased for P50 per page from P100 previously. Obtaining plain copies of the same documents will now cost P750 each while requests for other documents will be priced at P25 per page.
Meanwhile, digital copies of the same type of documents — accessible through the electronic SEC education, analysis, and research commuting hub (eSEARCH) — can be obtained for P625 for each authenticated copy and P375 for a plain copy.

In addition, the SEC said that the standard rates for the use of the SEC API Marketplace — which allows the direct sending and ingestion of corporate data from one application to another — will remain in effect. The rates come in two packages, priced at P10,000 for 100 API calls and P50,000 for 1,000 API calls.
