Adilabad: A Danish couple who legally adopted a boy from Adilabad in 2018 has begun a search for his biological parents to enable interaction and help him learn about his early life. The adoptive parents, Louise and Rasmus, along with their son Arjun, arrived in Adilabad on Saturday and will stay in the town for a week.
The couple appealed to Arjun’s biological parents, close relatives and medical staff to share any factual, non-speculative information they may have about his birth and the early weeks of his life.Arjun was found abandoned as a two-month-old infant in 2016 at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Adilabad, with a congenital deformity affecting the fingers of both hands. He later came under the care of the Shishugruha in Adilabad before being adopted by the Danish couple in 2018.Now nine years old, Arjun lives with his adoptive family in Denmark. The couple said they are making efforts to ensure that he has full access to his personal history in the future. They are being assisted in their search by Adoptee Rights Council (ARC) director Anjali Pawar.”We want to give Arjun every possible piece of his story now, so that he grows up informed and confident.
