Crypto News: New data from Arkham Intelligence has revealed an interesting move by the world’s most popular YouTuber, MrBeast who recently transferred $114,000 to purchase ASTER.

ASTER, the native cryptocurrency of the decentralized futures exchange with the same name, skyrocketed by 1,624% since its launch, and climbed by an incredible 1900% over the past week alone.
At the time of writing, ASTER rose another 44% in just 24 hours. At that point, it was trading at $1.68.
Aster is a decentralized exchange for trading crypto derivatives. The platform is backed by Yzi Labs, the venture capital firm founded by Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao.
With that support, Aster has quickly become a strong rival to Hyperliquid, another major decentralized platform.
The exchange first launched in 2021 under the name ApolloX and rebranded as Aster in 2024.
Just last week, the project held its token generation event (TGE). During the event, ApolloX’s APX holders were able to swap their tokens for ASTER through an airdrop, a move that received heavy public praise from CZ.
Today, September 21, Aster reached a new all-time high of $1.97. The jump came right after the MrBeast crypto news revealed that the YouTuber had purchased the token.
Soon after, CZ responded to the buzz. He dropped emojis that showed he was closely following MrBeast’s ASTER trades.
Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is the world’s most popular YouTuber. His channel has more than 438 million subscribers.
He is famous for hosting large-scale challenges, and their success has helped make him a billionaire.
On May 13, 2025, MrBeast attended the Love, Death + Robots special screening at the Paris Theater in New York City.
MrBeast is also hugely popular in the crypto meme community. For example, Dogecoin founder Billy Markus recently shared that he had a dream about winning a “sweet electric bike” from one of MrBeast’s tough challenges.
In a 2021 interview, MrBeast revealed that he owned nearly $1.5 million worth of Bitcoin. He also shared that he had purchased eight CryptoPunks NFTs.
Later, he resold them for 20 to 30 times their original value and invested the profits into Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends project.
Reports from other sources suggested that he held around $2 million in Bitcoin. He nearly lost this amount during a burglary, when the intruder overlooked his private key.
In addition, one website dedicated to YouTubers claimed that MrBeast owned 21 Bitcoin and 912 CryptoPunks NFTs. However, these figures have not been confirmed by him directly.
Mr Beast’s on-chain profile on Akhirm tracks his crypto activity and wallet movements. The dashboard highlights his holdings, past transactions, and recent transfers across different tokens.
Meanwhile, a report on CryptoRank pointed to 2024 findings from on-chain investigator SomaXBT. His research showed that the popular YouTuber made more than $10 million by promoting low-cap crypto tokens.
Soma explained how he supported the Initial DEX Offerings (IDOs) of several tokens. These same tokens were also promoted by other well-known crypto influencers.
The report went further, outlining multiple projects that Mr Beast backed where it revealed a clear pattern of how he invested in the tokens and received allocations right at launch.
