A Frankland River vineyard operator will be the newest face around the Cranbrook council table, as she, alongside two returning members, was elected unopposed to council last month.
Chelsea Lange was elected to serve her first term in the leadership team, with councillors Perin Mulcahy and Robert Johnson adding another stint.
The three were elected unopposed at the close of nominations on September 4, as no other resident put their hand up.
Former councillor Lee Casson did not re-contest his seat, leaving room for the newcomer.
The trio will join councillors George Pollard, Daisy Egerton-Warburton, Peter Denton and Jennifer Quick in the chambers.
All three councillors will be sworn in at the Shire of Cranbrook’s next meeting on November 19.
Their terms will expire on October 20, 2029.
Though electors in Cranbrook did not have to cast their ballots this year, 2023 saw a shake-up, with seven out of eight seats up for grabs.
That election had a 34.1 per cent return rate with eight candidates vying for seven positions.
