Rob Jones, who signed with the Cowboys as a free agent this offseason, broke a bone in his neck during practice on Sunday, according to ESPN, and is expected to miss 2-3 months.
The guard spent the last four seasons in Miami, starting 17 games at left guard for the Dolphins in 2024.

Jones and the Cowboys agreed to a one-year deal in March. He got some reps with the first team last week, ahead of first-round pick Tyler Booker.
Jones, who went undrafted out of Middle Tennessee State in 2021, played 1,080 snaps last season, earning a 56.1 overall grade from PFF. He has appeared in 49 games over a four-year span.
