* Midnight Network’s NIGHT token is now live on COTI, expanding liquidity and utility for privacy-native assets.

NIGHT, the native token of the privacy-focused Midnight Network, is now live on COTI. The integration, announced on Monday, is powered by ChainPort, a secure bridge that COTI recently used to integrate Cardano’s ADA and the USDT stablecoin.
In its announcement, the COTI Foundation noted that NIGHT will unlock privacy-native liquidity, cross-chain composability and new private DeFi use cases.
On liquidity, the Foundation says that by using ChainPort, it guarantees instant transfers and low fees, introducing traders to the network’s privacy-native DeFi pools and confidential payment rails.
It added, “Developers can now leverage NIGHT within COTI’s ecosystem to build privacy-enhanced applications, broaden access to confidential DeFi products, and experiment with next-gen financial rails that prioritize data protection and compliance.”
The Foundation says that it has selected ChainPort as the ideal bridge as it is one of the most secure and versatile solutions, connecting dozens of networks. ChainPort supports Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Cardano, Base, Arbitrum and several other blockchains. It claims to have $144 million in total value locked currently, and has facilitated 146,000 transactions to date, worth over $800 million.
To get started, users need to connect their preferred wallets on ChainPort and select NIGHT as the asset they want to bridge. They must then select COTI as the destination and then complete the transfer. Once the bridge transaction is complete, the NIGHT will become available on COTI for trading, liquidity provision and more.
Private DeFi Explodes on COTI
Midnight’s integration on COTI brings together two of the networks leading in privacy-native technology.
Midnight, as CNF has reported, has recorded explosive growth since its launch last year. It has been embraced by developers across the globe, with the Midnight team currently on a Japan tour, led by founder Charles Hoskinson. The network is also partnering with some of the largest blockchain ecosystems, with its latest being with AlphaTON to offer onchain privacy for Telegram’s one billion users, as revealed by CNF.
COTI is also among the major players in crypto privacy, with its recent Helium mainnet upgrade further cementing its position, as CNF detailed. Its native DeFi protocols have recorded rising growth in recent months; on Jan. 25, the network broke into the top 10 networks for perpetual futures trading volume, overtaking established networks like Solana and SUI.
PriveX remains the biggest DeFi protocol on the COTI network. The perpetual decentralized exchange revealed on Monday that it had processed $10 billion in trading volume.
“It’s proof that autonomous agents on COTI are becoming real infrastructure,” the platform stated, adding, “We’re just getting started. The next $10B will come a lot faster.”
COTI trades at $0.01774, gaining 1.75% in the past day. Midnight Network’s NIGHT token has gained 1.4% to trade at $0.05938 for a $986.2 million market cap.
