Trains have been cancelled or delayed on three major routes as emergency crews race to incident
RUSH hour commuters have been hit with chaos this morning as a major ScotRail line is closed and trains have been cancelled.
Emergency crews were rushed this morning to an incident between Dunblane and Gleneagles which has caused major disruption to trainlines.
ScoRrail is working with emergency services to get the line reopen and disruption is expected to last until around 10:00am today.
The train provider has put a Ticket Acceptance alternative in place, with CityLink buses and Stagecoach buses running between Stirling and Perth.
Other alternative buses running include Aray’s Travel bus at Stirling for 09:10am, Photoflash Travel bus at Stirling for 09:10am, Photoflash Travel bus at Perth 09:10am, and a Merlin Travel bus at Perth for 09:10am.
ScotRail said: “The emergency services are dealing with an incident in the Gleneagles area, and unfortunately, that means we can’t run trains as the line is currently blocked.
“We’re working closely with the emergency services to get the line reopened, but we’ve no estimate for this at present.”
