“Four years ago on this date, my heart was shattered into a million pieces, my 3rd heartbeat, my little broke best friend, my venting person, my baby was taken away from me, his family, and his true friends. Not a day goes by we don’t think about you, miss you or anything. Queise, I love you and miss you so much, but I know you are better off than we are right now. To the ones that caused his death, to the ones that knows who killed him, I’m going to say this I’m not God, the judge or jury but trust and believe when the day come I hope and pray I be there to see your face, and be able to say thank you for making me the strong woman I am today, because what you and the devil thought would break me it made me stronger, too keep fighting for not only JUSTICE for my son but any other mother, father who lost their child to gun violence, you cowards my think I’m living in the world of hell but no baby I’m not you are, we may not see it but God does. You may be enjoying your life now, but when that judgment day comes and God opens that book, he’s going to say ‘you remember this date, that date you caused MarQueise Ny’Trell Coleman to loose his life because you want to be stupid, well here is the day I get to judge you and give you your punishment.’ So today to his family, his true brothers you know who you are, his true friends don’t be sad today yes we lost a son, a grandson, a brother, a uncle, a nephew, a friend but he left a lifetime of memories with all of us and we are going to share them with the world.”
A message on the Justice For Queise social media page reads:
“1,461 days since the murder of Marqueise Coleman. There is nothing we could post here that we have not already said. No plea for the truth, no reward we have not offered, in hopes of justice. There’s nothing new, but there’s also no loss of hope. Do the right thing. What is done in the dark will come to light.”
