
GROVE CITY – The Grove City College men’s soccer team knocked visiting Buffalo State from the undefeated ranks Saturday afternoon as the Wolverines secured a 1-0 win over the Bengals (5-1) in non-conference action at Don Lyle Field.
Grove City did not allow Buffalo State to record a shot on goal. Buffalo State had scored 20 total goals over its first five matches of the season.
The Wolverines (2-2-1) broke a scoreless tie at 53:48 when senior midfielder Aiden Eck scored his first goal of the season. Senior defender Luke Kimmich provided the assist, his first assist of 2025.
Grove City held a 14-8 edge in total shots and a 7-0 edge in shots on goal. The Wolverines also accumulated a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Freshman goalie Keller Krieger earned the shutout by playing all 90 minutes. It is his first full shutout of the season and the Wolverines’ second clean sheet of the season.
Grove City returns to action Friday at Hope College. Kickoff will be 6:30 p.m. in Holland, Mich. The Wolverines will then visit Calvin at 6 p.m. Saturday.

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Grove City College women’s soccer team earned its first win of the 2025 season Saturday afternoon by capturing a 1-0 win at Dickinson in non-conference action at Miller Memorial Field.
Junior midfielder Tori Stevenson gave Grove City the lead at 6:53 by scoring her first goal of 2025. It is Stevenson’s 19th career goal and her fifth career game-winner.
Junior goalie Maddie Mills secured her first collegiate shutout by making six saves.
Dickinson (2-2-1) outshot the Wolverines, 15-4, including a 6-3 edge in shots on goal. Dickinson had 17 corner kicks while Grove City netted three corners.
The Wolverines begin a two-match homestand Wednesday night at 7 p.m. when they host Carnegie Mellon in non-conference play at Don Lyle Field.
